Neak Pean
Banteay Srei
Banteay Srei was an early temple built before Angkor Wat in the 10th century. It was dedicated to Shiva, the Hindu God. This unique temple was the only known temple not to have been built by a king. Instead it was built by the king’s courtiers. The name translates into English to mean the “Citadel of the Women”or the “Citadel of Beauty”. Many people believe that this is probably connected to the very fine carvings on the bas-relief that could only have been made by the hands of a woman.
Preah Khan
Preah Khan temple was built in the late 12th century under Buddhist king, name Jayavarman VII for dedicating to his father after he had built another one, Ta Prohm for his mother.
