Your day begins with a hotel pickup at 8:00 AM, followed by a scenic drive through rural villages and lush landscapes toward the ancient archaeological site of Koh Ker, located more than 100km from Siem Reap. Once the capital of the Khmer Empire during the 10th century, Koh Ker is home to over 20 remarkable monuments hidden within the jungle.
Explore the impressive Prasat Thom, a unique seven-tier pyramid temple that resembles the famous Mayan pyramids of South America. Continue to Prasat Pram, where ancient stone towers are beautifully embraced by giant strangler fig trees, creating one of the most photogenic temple sites in Cambodia. You will also visit Prasat Lings and Prasat Neang Khmav before continuing your journey.
After exploring Koh Ker, head to the legendary Beng Mealea temple, one of the most atmospheric temples from the Angkor period. Built in the 12th century by King Suryavarman II, this massive Hindu temple remains largely unrestored, allowing visitors to experience the feeling of true exploration. Wander through collapsed galleries, sandstone corridors, and jungle-covered ruins in peaceful surroundings far from the crowds.
After a full day of discovery, we will return safely to your hotel in Siem Reap. The tour lasts approximately 9 hours.
